Not a tech company that decided to do gardening. A chartered horticulturist with 45 years of growing experience who built the tool he wished had always existed.
Tony O'Neill MCIHort FRSA is a vegetable growing expert and chartered horticulturist with 45 years of growing experience, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, author of 19 books, creator of Simplify Gardening with 458,000+ YouTube subscribers, and a serving Watch Manager with South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (19 years' service).
He grew up in the Rhymney Valley in South Wales, learning to grow food on his grandfather's allotment in Abercynon. That early experience -- practical, hands-on, built around real results rather than theory -- runs through everything he has built since.
GrowTrack was built because Tony watched growers follow good advice and still get poor results. Not because the advice was wrong. Because it was written for someone else's garden.

I have been growing vegetables for 45 years. I have written books about it, built a channel around it, and answered hundreds of thousands of questions from growers at every level. And for most of that time, the tools available to gardeners had one thing in common: they were built for someone else's garden.
Generic garden planners tell you to sow your carrots in March. But which March? In which location? In what soil? After what previous crop? The calendar does not know. It cannot know. And so the advice it gives is averaged across every garden everywhere, which means it is precisely right for almost nobody.
The best gardeners I have ever known kept meticulous records. Not because they were organised by nature, but because they had learned that memory alone was not enough. The garden rewards the grower who pays attention across seasons, not just within one.
GrowTrack gives every grower what the best gardeners already have: a genuine record of what worked, what did not, and why. And an AI guide that reads that record before giving you any advice.
The difference between a gardener in their first year and one in their twentieth is not just knowledge. It is accumulated, specific, contextual memory. GrowTrack gives you that from season one.
